A2i Spring 2019
The first week of this past March, the CSRA held the second Annual A2i Symposium. Thirty-seven students from 15 UF departments attended the 4-day event, graciously hosted by the UF Career Connection Center in their newly renovated space at the Reitz Union. The group was able to hear and interact with representatives from 6 companies (including one NGO!) of various sizes. The symposium also included some very concrete professional development aspects such as how to write a cover letter, how to build a CV, how to prepare for a job interview, how to set up an efficient LinkedIn profile, and more. Dr. James Estrada, who put this event together, said that according to the feedback he has received so far, both students and industry representatives truly enjoyed the event and felt it was very valuable. A2i will be held every Spring during Spring Break, but smaller A2i+ events will be organized throughout the year. Space will be more limited than for the regular A2i symposium and priority will be given to students who have already attended an A2i symposium, but students are encouraged to reach to Dr. Estrada for any questions!
